Daystar builds a 2004 Rubicon

Article by Don Macmillan.

We stated with a new 2004 Jeep Rubicon. First we put on some Daystar Products.

1″ body mounts kit number KJ04508BK and motor mounts kit number KJ01005BK .Then we put on a 1 3/4″ comfort ride kit, number KJ09103BK. This allowed us to fit 285/75R16 Goodyear MT/R tires.

When putting on the kit on a Rubicon you will have to put on new shocks. The shocks on a stock Rubicon are at the max with a stock suspension so when you put on are lift kit you will have to get shocks. We used Pro comp shocks. Front part number is 324515 and rear is 321500. After installing the parts we had a service manager at a Jeep Dealer test drive the Jeep and he couldn’t tell the deference between stock and lifted .They drove the same.

Then we put on Daystars Four Real Steel Products.

First we put on a front World Challenge Series winch mount bumper. Part Number KJ70006. This is a Heavy Duty .120 wall tubular steel bumper. It has a heavy duty winch mount and 2 light tabs and an aluminum skid plate.

Then we moved on to the back, installing a Four Real steel Rock Kr usher rear bumper, part number KJ70020. It has 2″x.120 wall main tubes and a 2″ square receiver tube. This is on awesome looking bumper. Then we put on some Four Rear Steel Rock Rails. These are rock crawler styled projection, part number KJ70012. They have 3 frame mounts and are made out of 2″x.120 wall tubing and feature a black powder coated finish. This will definitely protect the side of your Jeep on the trail.

All these parts are very easy to put on in a weekend, and they’re all available right here on Jeepin.com through JeepinOutfitters.

Happy wheeling.
