Anyone have probs w/ the front drive shaft being too long?

mine doesn't come out very far either....pretty dry so I lubed it and I'll drive it a bit to see if it loosens up. on full droop it is tight to each other....I'll have to look at it flexing...

Thoughts on this? Do I need to shorten one part?

Is it the stock driveshaft? Being lifted, I'd think you'd need something longer, not shorter.

Well chad actually for you if I remember right the front drive shaft from a XJ will be a almost perfect replacement for your YJ. Don't quote me on that though. But I feel confident I'm right.

cobound...Mine is to long also. But that was cause of my axle change. But I would do something about it...Cause mine busted my T case right in half...Just to let ya know

EDIt yours is only tight when its flexing...I know just the shaft not counting the flanges it was 24 inchs...i need something arroud 22 ish

Fix it before you end up needing a new t case

That was your rear, right?

I'm sure it can happen to the front as well....but I'm hoping it can work....I'm going to flex it out next weekend and see what happens.....

Soooo many things I gotta do before the 8th so I can make it to CO!

If it's too long and compresses fully, you may bust up your tcase pretty good.....

as you lift the xj, doesn't the length between the pinion and Tcase output get shorter?
