what i personally recommend you do is return that Peice of sh*t, whoever made those radiators are smokin too much weed, Well then again it is made in Mexico so I wouldnt dought that. radiator.com also is destributor of Valeo Radiators Call and ask. very high quility radiators, best craftsmanship I have seen, which is made out of aluminum that distributes heat better, not metal.
But anyway, you are going to see that those GDIs are low quility radiators. whatever you do dont force too much pressure on the top mounting pins because they are rusted, worse yet it is painted over for less thread so be careful, as far as installation goes. You dont need anything else, everything is provided. they sould come with the auto tranny adapters, unscrew the plugs and put in the adapters, I would recommend you do a heavy flush to clean inside of block, then after installation flush it again and be amazed at the crap thats going to come out of the radiator. Dont use regular tap water, make sure you use dastiled water, your hoses and engine block will thank you because all that those minirals destroy everything over time.

Are you just swapping out radiators or converting from a closed system to open system ? The parts you need will depend on how much of your old-style system you want to update. I'd recommend new hoses, clamps, thermostat, heat control valve, and fan clutch while you have the thing all apart. Makes all these a LOT easier to install and that way you can 'date' your whole system to one date instead of trying to remember "did I change that in February or last June when the water-pump went ?"
If you have the old-style closed system, the temp sensor is located on the lower left side of the radiator. Take your new radiator to a radiator shop along with the old-style temp sensor assembly (it unscrews) and have them weld in a bung like on the old radiator. This is the cheapest solution. Or you can buy a '92-later thermostat housing. The later sensor screws into this but will not run the aux fan without some fancy wiring. I investigated several write-ups that involved some electrical trickery to get the new style sensor to work but then went to the Turbo City website and they make a handy-dandy kit with a relay and all the wiring harness that mates the newer style sensor to the old wiring for the aux fan...it keeps the fan running even after you shut off the Jeep to help cool the engine down. It ain't cheap but it's well-made and the install took like 15 minutes. Combine this setup with some hood louvers and your XJ will never overheat even on the slowest trails of summer. Turbo City makes a kit like that? Well hotdamn....would you happen to know where on their website it is? I couldnt find it anywhere, and I could really use that for the summer time, as my electric fan doesnt run at all right now.
