Default how would i go about this..... converting to a spin-on filter for 2a?

is there a kit from perhaps Jegs or summit racing that i can use to rig up on my old '46 2a?

I have seen people mentioning it on a few willys enthusiast pages but no one really said how to go about it.

I don't care if putting on a spin on filter ain't original but its just a hassle on changing the oil on this thing. All because the drop in filter casing is too time consuming to dip the oil out.

the jest of this post is asking where i can get the conversion kit/rig from?

thanks

btw... ill have this toy over here by mid november!

Try searching Jeg's or Summit.....

There are lots of oil filter adapters out there, go find one that'll work.

Yes there is. I've looked one up for a guy once at work(not for a 2A though). If your parts store actually has someone that knows what they are talking about they can look one up in a book. Ours even had pics. If I get a chance at work tomorrow I'll see what I can find and let you know.

Or, you could search on Summit or Jegs.

cool thanks man.

and

yes i have looked thru the two catalogs of jegs and summit and found what i thought was a kit to do that but i just wasn't too sure if they were actually conversion kits or just RE-LOCATER oil filter adapters....??? ((which i do believe it was the re-locater kits, which doesn't help.

Kyle, theres no petcock on the bottom of the filter housing?

A relocator is what you need. Then you'll need to take it to NAPA etc to get the proper fittings to connect to the block, and eliminate the oil lines you currently have.

You have pics of this Willy's?

My 2A has the spin on filter adapter, so I know it can be done. It was done by the previous owner, so I'm not sure where he got the parts.
