00 XJ vibes?
Posting for a friend who's been asking me questions over the phone.
00 XJ, he just threw 2" spacers up front and a 2.5" AAL in the rear. He said he had minor vibes, so I let him grab an X-member from a manual XJ to give a little Tcase drop. Well, apparently this made things worse, and he really has vibes now!! Any ideas?? Also, he has clunking every time he hits the gas, or lets off.

what do the pinion and t-case u-joint angles look like?

I duno yet, haven't seen it myself, just talked to him over the phone. I think it's strange that he got bad vibes after dropping the Tcase!!

the clunking may be the exhaust on the cross member. but as far as vibes a half inch drop or so shoulda cleared it up.

thing is, the drop made it worse.....doesn't make sense to me...

isn't the front axle a LP d30? couldn't that cause the vibe and you're just thinking it's coming from the rear? cause a drop would make the already sucky front angle worse

I'm still voting on u-joints being bad and getting worse.
The LP D30 could be viable though too.
