Pinion seal would be my guess for the leaking. Have you checked the driveshaft for play? And time I had shuddering whas right before the joints failed on my shafts. Other than that I

Wow what luck on that screwdriver not goin threw the tire.

Seal didn't cause this, it's just leaking as a result. It's either a UJoint, or a pinion bearing that went out back there.

You put tubes in your tires?

I think he meant the handle on the screw driver is gone? Never heard that called a tube? But thats what I figured he meant?

I think he mean the screwdriver just went through the outside of the carcass of the tire, it didn't actually penetrate all the way through, ie: pull it out and it doesn't start leaking.

Reminds me of the other day at work..had a customer come in for a flat repair when we pulled the tire off the rim we found a crescent wrench INSIDE of the tire.

ThaUt's a pretty bad pinion seal leak. I wouldn't drive it until I was certain the pinion bearing was not the culprit. If it is, the pinion will beat itself into the ring gear, not good.
