TPS questions

I was told that maby instead of my tranny being bad it could possibly be the TPS. I was wondering how much information anyone can give me on the tps. How to install, cost of a new one. Where it's located. all the good stuff for someone who doesnt know what tps even means. I know, I know before you even start makin jokes. I am an idiot. With only basic knowlege of jeeps.

my tranny was acting fawked. a few weeks ago..
80 bucks and 15 minn later i had a new tps and im good to go

the tps is located on the throttle body held ith 2 little torx bolts and has a wiring harness that ya have to connect too its ez

you got raped on price!

97+ TPS cost me 50 bucks, pre 96 is $20 somthing at Advanced Auto.

I went through 2 sensors befor I got one that was actaully good. I would hit a bump and the Jeep would want to cut out.

i got mine for 60$ in moab, which is always a lil pricey...

i called 6 part stores in the area.. some places where over 100
everything is more spendy here in the northeast

think thats high ....for my accord they want 250$ for one and its a honda only part .. no one else sells them ....on that note anyone know a parts guy that works inna honda house? i need a discount like non other .. wehn i worked in parts we would get cost + 10% and parts are marked up 100% arggg im not gonna drop that kinda coin argggg

The ISM and the TPS
ISM...Idle Stepper Motor
TPS...Throttle Position Sensor

Should be some where on the throttle body...
