Two old, aluminum Hurst shift handles. No Hurst shifter, just the handles.

Yep. Only way to go.

Damn, that's an old pic. Hadn't done the 4wd or gauge swap yet. Circa July '03.

Mine was a Hurst T-handle... then I sold it.

Now the Jeep and GMC are stock, my cobalt has a cheap autozone replacement after the dog ate the stock one.

For sale: Stock '06 Cobalt shift knob, slightly eaten.

Speaking of that. What kind of aftermarket shifter handles can you get for an automatic? Anything interesting?

Also what is everyone's favorite online Jeep parts dealer? Other than the one linked to this site of course

I just sneezed and I'm not sure where it flew......besides that, how is it shifting with the T handle compared to a stock shift knob? I'm only used to the stock shift knob on the old VW....doesn't exist anymore, but just curious?

I hated the T-handle - the round shape makes so much more sense to me; you can exert a force on the knob in any direction with predictable results.

With the T, you can slip off of it and can only apply forces (solidly) up, down, left and right.

I know my Yota is definitely not an "up down left and right" transmission; more of an "up, down, up and over then back this-a-way a little bit, then more up, down and right little bit up then left then down......." transmission if you know what I mean.

T-handle didn't do it for me; I like the "ball-peen" effect of a round shift knob (can exert an equally efficient force in any direction)
