V8 Grand Cherokee
postin for a friend. he wants a v8 grand cherokee and doesnt wana have to pay for preimuim gas. does the ZJ 5.9 v8 or the 5.2 v8 take premium gasoline? also does the wj 4.7 take premium.

the 5.2 will run on 87 just fine, the 5.9 will not.

the 4.7 non HO doesn't run on premium afik, not sure about the 4.7ho.

5.9 can be flashed at the dealership to run on lower grade gas...but some say it nueters it too much

Yea, like all they said, 5.2 runs on regular, 5.9 on premium. Some 5.2s might need premium, my rents one did back when they had it, but I think its pretty rare as mine runs fine on crap gas
