My 93 XJ developed an oil leak about 4 months ago after a camping trip with some friends. It is not a bad leak and I rarly have to add oil but it is just annoying. It is leaking in the area of the rear main or the back of the oil pan. I have replaced the rear main once and the oil pan gasket twice.
My question is: 1) Is there anything else up there that would be allowing that oil to come out? Thanks guys!

I had a persistant oil leak on my 87 XJ and did the usual rear main and other oil seal repairs. It turned out to be the front main and it was a dealer job to replace (in conjunction with some other heavy repairs). I hope it isn't this because it is a pita but just a suggestion to check.

there are two rear main seal types. If these other problem areas don't fix it, throw in the other type of rear main. It could be that the crank is worn down where the seal touches it, so even with a new seal the oil can escape. luckily they made 2 kinds of rear mains to combat this problem.
