so, got the rustys 3", 2yrs old, dealing with a little sagging. What do I need to go a lil higher?
If I add some frt spacers and rr shackles, Im thinking I need to work the brk lines(just swap in YJ's??) and do something with the trac bar. I already have the adj lca's, so thats covered. And then maybe shims for vibes. At what point is the sye gonna come into play?? Also, whats the biggest tires I can put on the stock mags? Its my understanding that 31 is the biggest that still fits inside where the spare is( not a big fan of ext tire carriers) Ive got 30x9.5's right now. Oh yeah, guess I'll have to get new frt sway discos too. Lemme know where I am right and wrong, thx

Well, a lot simply depends on how high you're wanting to go.

I don't know if you can fit a 31x10.5" in the stock spare location or not, I don't think I've heard of anyone that's done it.

Someone posted(with pics)(on your old board) a 31 in the stock location(it WAS aired down), I do remember that. As far as how high, if Im not down with the outside tire carrier, thats whats gonna limit me, IF I can stuff a 31 inside,(which would be the limit, obviously), then why go past 4.5"? If my tires arent huge, no need for the huge lift, right?

My 235 spare jusrt barely fits. The mount's too far back to fit much larger, and the rear seat blocks it in front. A larger tire will easily lay down in the cargo area. Height's not a problem, it's front to back clearance.

If you have OBA, then keeping the spare aired down,s no big deal.

My 30x9.5 fully aired fits perfectly, seat up or down, though usually down, due to 200#'s of doggies.

Right. So if you're only looking for about 4.5" of lift, no need for new brakelines, simply relocate the front ones and get a relocation bracket for the rear line. I ran stock lines front and rear with 5" of lift and no troubles, they were relocated of course. On a '92 you may or may not have vibs at that height, just depends on your rig. My guess is you'll be OK, you might pick up some shims just in case. Lift shackles will tilt your pinion up a bit, so you might even need the shims to tilt your pinion down.

I'd probably just pick up a 1.5" budget boost kit that uses poly spacers up front and longer shackles in the rear, and get a set of ~3* shims just in case.
