It said price was no object. If that is true then rock on. What could you get for that, that would be cooler.

Man I hate fender flares. Seriouly IMHO they ruin the lift. Plus who need to destroy two very nice vehicles in the process because you want to race a mustang and then go out on a sacred trail and race everyone out there to the trail head. I am not saying he is not welcome but the story leads you to belive that all he wants to do is race, whether on road or not. He is going to hurt himself or someone else on the trail if he is not careful. Well I hope he understands the consequences of trail riding. Damaging $90,000 is not what he is going to like. If the engine is that stuffed into the housing if he rolls once it is over.

How dare you compare the two!!!! Actually the H2 is a decendent of the H1/Humvee which is a decendent of the FMC prototype which is a decendent of the Lamborghini Cheetha, which is the grandfather of the LM002. So four degrees of seperation, the LM002 is the H2's tough uncle.

The LM002 is what the H2 wishes it could be!

I'll give you that. I guess I worded it wrong. Since the H2 came second, its lines look like the Rambo Lambo, I just like typing that.

I thought the Hummer was the offspring of the M151 Mutt's development program? The M151 is like a micro HUMVEE minus the portal hubs...

The H2 and LM002 look nothing alike, the LM002 and Hummer/H1 look very similar though.

AM General took over development of the HMMWV/Humvee well into its development, so there is no real direct connection between it and the M-151. The program was to replace the M-151, the Gamma Goat and the M-715 with a single vehcle. I will find you some development history stuff if I can online. It was full of lawsuits over designs and funding requirements and prototype accidental deaths.

The M151 prototype was first produced in 1952 so it was way outdated and developed-out by the early 70's
