Default What Radiator? And Fan

Alrite guys, i'm runnin the 4.2 and i need a replacement radiator since the accident fubared it...

A few months ago i had replaced the stock one with a stock replacement 2 core it ran a steady 210, but i think thats a bit warm...
Should i go with this.... (just like the one i had put in it to begin) a standard 2 core $67.99 + $22.99 Shipping

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-1...spagenameZWDVW

or should i upgrade to a 3 core for the extra cash... $159 Buy it now + $15 Shipping

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jeep-...spagenameZWDVW

Also what should i do about the stock fan, it got bent up when it hit the radiator, should i remove it and go electric or should i find some sort of upgrade?

Its running a steady 210 because that is where the jeep inline 6's live. The thermostat is probably set for around 195 to keep it at 210. Leave it.

Depends on how much you want to spend. Sounds like it still working ok.......You can get a blade and clutch from a junk yard for between 15-50 bucks if you work it right. I just took a look at autozones website and it doesnt look like they carry fan assy anymore. A 4.0 fan/clutch assy might fight but that Im just guessing at. Ryan can probably tell you if he chimes in. Going electric is up to you, it could be dirt cheap depending on how handy you are.

i asked the same question when I crashed my jeep. Most people seemed to agree that replacing the mechanical fan with at least a stock electric fan (so I'd have two electric fans total) wasn't a great idea because the electric fans just don't pull as much air as the mechanical ones. I don't know if you have a differently shaped radiator that you can get a more efficient fan for but I'd just keep that in mind.

as far as the radiator itself, what are going to be your driving conditions? just because the Jeep does like to run hotter doesn't mean you shouldn't upgrade... for the price difference and the way I drive mine and the conditions it gets driven in, I spent the extra on the 3 core. when I'm crawling along a trail or beating it in the mud, I like knowing I have the extra cooling capacity.

3 core will improve your cooling. you can get a radiator like that from radiator.com for about 120

upgrading to a 3 core is not a bad idea especially if you are going to be spending long hours on the trail, I just didnt want him to think running 210 was bad. Also if you do upgrade to a 3core plan that as you search for what fan you will use as they do take up more space.
