what a f*ckstick. [/qb]
F--kstick? Read your history book about the legacy of the Daimler part of your beloved Jeep. [/qb]
you mean the 'mog?

They didn't do much to help the allies win WWII..

The Jeep on the other hand...

and for the record... there is no Daimler part to MY Jeep, there's barely a Chrysler part to it. [/QB]
Here is a little history lesson. The UNIMOG was developed after WWII, for the United Nations, hence the UN in the name.

Daimler was a Nazi party member. Mercedes Benz was Hitler's favorite car and was produced for years, around 1940-45, by slave labor. You know, the Holocaust. Yup, that's DC legacy. Nice huh?

Well I tried to end this.

Mr. Daimler was dead by 1939 so he is not really part of the equation. And the UN did not stand for United Nations, appeasement boy, it was for Universal Motorized Vehicle, they were built as farm tractors originally not as transporters or anything else for the UN. Please do not debate history with me, you will lose, I have the Library of Congress to back me up.

Actually to show myself up a little more Mr. Daimler lived from 1834-1900 so I really don't think he had a thing to do with the Nazi party. As someone who's family suffered and barely survived the holocaust, I find it very messed up to pin that lable on someone haphazzardly.

the unimog ras released after world war two, but started development in 1942.

and DC has nothing to do with the Jeep legend, image and idea. DC bought AMC (the Jeep brand name in the deal) in 1987!

you're basically saying that the Jeep helped kill millions of Jews simply because of a relation to Hitler by it's newly formed parent company's ties... nice logic

I'm still pullin the f*ckstick card here

Hitler's legacy also includes the VW Bug among other automotive and aeronautical designs. Oh yeah, Ferdinand Porsche worked for Hitler developing cars, like the VW Bug.

Too bad the bastid commited such horrible crimes against humanity, 'cause his engineers are responsible for some really fantastic developments and designs.

And let's get the Jeep history part a little more correct... Chrysler bought our AMC to get the Jeep name in '87. Damler-Benz took over Chrysler sometime in the late 90's, don't recall the year...

Another big of funny trivia... Jeep was owned by a company/man named "Kaiser" for a while...

Personally, I think it's great to have the guys from Jeepmud here on .

Yep, Henry Kaiser, the same guy who likely started a lot of your health plans "Kaiser-Permenatae" and built half the buildings in the west.

As the person who started this, I am requesting that you put an end to this. Can you stop this madness?

Thanks,
