wiring windshield lights

just installed a set of KC's on the windshield mount brackets on my '00 TJ.......how have you guys run the wiring into the cab.......thru gromets was a given, but I am torn on the bets route to take for the wires.....I don't ever plan to lower the windshield, (can't with the lights and brackets installed).
