Got my rock sliders built and now I need an idea of how to mount them to the frame. I tried welding and the weld just tore the metal on the frame away. Any suggestions on how to mount them? Was thinkin bout drilling and bolting but the frame looks kinda weak and might pull through.

Most people make something like a 4 bolt flange and use tek screws (self drilling/self tapping) to mount it onto the unibody frame. Then you can make a support so that you can tie into the rear spring hanger bolt. Lastly, you can weld a small piece on top of the supports that will line right up with the pinch weld seam, and then drill small holes and bolt it on there aswell.

Here's how I did mine:

Basically, it's mounted along the entire length of the pinch seam, to the rear spring hanger box, and with the one brace to the front of the frame rail. The important thing is to have the rail itself be flush with the bottom of the rocker:

That way, the bracing doesn't really take any stress except lateral (in towards the frame rail, for example), which won't cause the fasteners to pull out. When the weight of the vehicle is on the rail, it serves to distribute the force along the whole rocker instead of concentrating at one point.

Those rails I made are 2x2x1/8" box, and I have had the whole jeep balanced on them and slammed/slid them into rocks, and the paint got scratched. The fasteners (just regular self-tappers) haven't moved a micron and the rails themselves aren't dented one bit.
