Cons: according to the 4WP website, they measure 38.5 inches and they’re ~$25 more per tire compared to Nittos The Nittos, which I’ve been running for 3 years now have been great. They lasted longer than I expected with a spool (I had low expectations) and they seemed to hook up pretty good on the rocks, despite not having beadlocks on my Jeep. Cons: They’re not BFGs. I have also really liked my trail grapplers. Worn well, hook up pretty well. I was wheeling a few weeks ago with a dude that just got the km3, they seemed pretty soft. Looked like they hooked up well. I have been eye balling the maxxis razr for my next tire.

TruXus MT's so far have really impressed me, never really got stuck with them, and they were beasts in the snow, hard pack or 2 foot deep, plowed right through. CO2 lasts a good while, my 20lb tank would do my set of 35's about 5 or 6 times going from 8 - 35psi. Powertank has a chart on their site that shows capacity... https://powertank.com/pages/tire-air-up-chart Edit: Can add 20psi to a 40" 22 times on 1 20lb tank. I almost snagged the Maxxis Razr for my last purchase, heard awesome stuff about them, they came highly recommended by Bob at TNT, but I just coulnd't pull the trigger on 4 when all I really needed were 3 Nittos.

i really liked how the Nitto's worked in the rocks, i'll be buying them again next time.
i have a DeWALT 60v pancake compressor to run my lockers works for now, eventually i'd like to mount my CO2 tank.

Its fun for what it is and will work for now, but I am going to build another crawler (still streetish legal). The truck will be a great camping rig and dd after that. I dont want to smash the body up too much more than I already have.
I am going to build sliders for the rockers though, that will makr me feel way better about getting after it a little more. |
