if you REALLY want to get more power to ground, you need gears. that motor basically should never be driven below 2500 Rs, and the best way is to gear it a few steps past stock. no they aren't cheap, but you can pick something maybe a bit high for the current tire and might be a bit low for what you'd think of as a crazy big tire, and just do it. the cost vs torque to ground is great. 4.88 and 35's is a solid mid point, a local offroad shop around here, parts and labor, is like $1400.
3.73 --> 4.88 is over 30% ... not only is it after the trans so it can't suck some of it, but the trans should react and eat less having to work less.
