V10, auto, 4x4, extended cab, longbox, plow. 64k miles, dealer is asking $11k. Thoughts? Good truck (year, reliability wise)?
I would only get it if I can pay $9k.
It's only got 64k on it, but they were hard miles - plow. That makes me a bit hesitant.

How reliable is the V10 with age and hard use? It's gonna drink gas like a mother, but I bet that it'll pull like a freight train
Im no expert on the V10s but I believe they had overheating issues.

the v10 does better than the hemi on gas, pulls like a 454 on roids, and seems to hold up well. I know a guy that has one in his DD with like 160k on it, and the truck will be gone around the engine before that thing dies.

I have a family friend that towed a 35' trailer across the country several times with his and loved it, well until he got his new diesel and his life changed.

alot of guys over there love that motor
Back before the SRT10, some guys I work with were stuffin Viper motors in that bodystyle (BR) Ram. Kinda cool huh. That was way before they were production. Lots of bugs but once they got going.hehe.
Also, I think that the 98s had some ugly rims on them. 3 point type? They didnt last long.
