Does your engine have this section of hose here? It's up by the turbo, passenger-side. :dunno:

Looks to me like it's either to allow play between the sections of metal pipe or to allow easier installation of those pieces in a tight area....

it looks like you took it from under the truck, no? I couldn't see shat out there, I'll get back to you tomorrow if someone hasn't yet. x2 on BBA's comment tho. How'd you find that?

pics are taken from under the truck, looking up on the passenger side. I can see the section from the top with the hood up too though, just had a better view from the bottom.

See that orange dot on the upper hose clamp? That's coolant that leaks out the top of that hose section when it's cold outside and the truck has been sitting for a while (ie: overnight). Leaves a small wet spot (~4-5" DIA, no standing liquid though) on the pavement in the morning.

I posted on CumminsForum about it and a bunch of guys thought it looked suspicious, but they couldn't confirm/deny it was supposed to be there. The last two posts (so far) in the thread from this morning said that they had that same section on their trucks, and that they had issues with it leaking as well.

Nope, warranty void due to oversized tires. :wned: :p

Yeah, don't ya hate that crap. Luckily the law states that they have to prove it caused the failure/problem.

It'd have to be a pretty ghey dealership to do that. I assume you're joking anyway though.

I had an extended warranty on my Jeep and got TONS of work done on it at 3 different dealers after it had been lifted and stuff. Even had unit bearings go out on the way home from wheelin and dropped it off all muddy and they didn't say a word. Even got work done once it was on 35s with 4.56s and locked. If the damage wasn't directly due to the mods they did the work....even did it quite a few times when the mods clearly made the parts wear out much faster.
My Ram is on 35s and there's been no question about warranty work on that either. Got the balljoints, u joints, and 1 unit bearing replaced and not a word about oversized tires. If one dealer b1tches about it, go to another.
