The heater on Jen's mom's WJ has gone out. The Jeep still blows cold air, the AC works, vents change when you switch them, etc, it just doesn't blow warm or hot air, at all. The WJ has the fancy dual climate zone system, but I figure it's related to some vaccuum line or valve or something that's keeping the heater core closed off, I just haven't had a chance to pop the hood and dig around.

Does this problem sound familiar to anyone? Any specific suggestions on what to look for/at?

my wifes jeep did that, it was just a clogged heater core. i was able to flush it and we had heat again.

since it's a 5 minute fix and it's good for the motor/heater core anyways, i'd try that.

I didn't have the problem on a Jeep, but another car. The valave that allows coolant to flow through the heater core was bad. It wasn't too much $$. I am not sure if they are difficult to replace on a WJ, but I wouldn't imagine so.

Nope, no funny smells or anything. Everything seems to be working fine, just no warm/hot air.

My 5.9 had the same problem when I bought it. (Didn't know 'till I drove it home.) The dealership I bought it from fixed it for me at no charge. They said one of the pull/push arms had come off one of the 'flappers' up under the dash.

try a search on jeepsunlimited for "blend door". It sounds like a common problem and there is lots of info on it..

Good advice above Jason, you won't have to go far to find information on the now infamous blend door issues, seems to be a big ongoing newer problem with dual climate WJ's.

Good luck.
