89 Bronco questions *update*

My roomate just bought an 89 Bronco. It has a fuel injected 351, and some kind of Borg-Warner t-case. I was wondering what transmission it had. I think its the C6, but I'm not sure. Also, I don't know too much about TTB setups as far as lifting goes. Besides springs what else would my buddy need to lift his front end 3-5". Thanks.

It's a 351W....Ford didn't use the 351 Cleveland after 1974, the 351M was done in 1984-5. FMX was also only used way back in the late 60's early 70's..and I've never heard of one in a truck. If it's an 89 it should be the 4spd Auto with overdrive (AOD) If it's a 3spd with no overdrive it could be either the C4 or C6.

I have another question. Today, I noticed smoke creeping out of the hood. I open up the hood while it was running and notice smoke is blowing out of the end of the CCV line attached to the airbox. All around where the CCV line meets the airbox is covered in oil. All inside the CCV line is oily too. Any ideas on what may be causing it. The motor runs strong.
