Looking for a tow rig again.

I found a 97 F350 super crew long bed SRW. It is pretty nice but i'm thinking that the asking price of 12,000 is a little high. The truck as 138k on it and I know that isn't alot with the power stroke desiel but the automatic transmission is what worries me. Blue book on this truck is only 11,000 for excelent condition but I would say this truck falls under the Good conditon price which is 10300. Do yall think this is a fair price? I am thinking about offering him 10.

If you think it is worth 10, I would offer him 10 and see what he says. show him what blue book is. At least that year was not the 6.0. I agree about the auto, but that is probably a concern with any used truck. Has he towed heavy with it or modded it? Those would be the biggest causes of concern with the auto.
