View Full Version : 3VZE Timing Belt = Success

Have a 1993 Toyota 3VZE (3.0L EFI V6) and I think the waterpump is shot.

Anybody replace one of these? looks like it's right in the middle of downtown Hell...

My engine doesn't have a serp belt, it's two V-belts :eek:

Huge T100 engine bay makes 3VZE look tiny - If you've ever seen a Toyota pickup's engine bay, you know the 3VZE FILLS it UP

OK - Roadblock!

I can't get the new timing belt on the truck - not long enough :laughing:

Any tips on how to get the timing belt on there?

We've been starting with it lined up on the passenger side cam and then going to driver's side cam then to the water pump, crank, and tensioner.

Help me out!

Stayed up til 4:30am, got it finished.

Started it and ran it last night after reinstalling PS pump, alternator, radiator....blah blah blah.

looks like hunter re-assembled something without it exploding a day later....congrats...stick to water pumps and altenators though :p

Can't help you with the engine, but if you need tips tearing an R-sreies transmission down...
