They'er looking good so far. Just wandering why you chose Poly-bushings instead of Johny-Joints or Heims?

I had a few reasons.
1. we have lots of mud up here and hiems don't last very long. (and expensive)
2. Jonny joints aren't readilly availible up here. (and expensive)
3. I used the Procomp poly bushings because they arr rounded on the inside which allows for flex.
These will last a long time without having to remove them all the time for maintanance. So far I'm only into them for $150 CAN. The bushings were the most expensive part at $100 CAN for 12pr.

Looks great, that will be my project in the spring!!
My brother did a straight axle conv. on his S-10 blaser, with long arm. He also used poly bushings on an adj. arm. He just runs them loose and the arm rotates on the threads. Flexes very well!!

since we used a standard fine thread (UNF), I think I'll be keeping them tightened up so as not to damage the threads. If I had used an Acme thread I would have kept them loose, but using an Acme thread would have been twice the work.

Did you make those on your own?

Nah, a buddy of mine works at a machine shop, so we went in on a Satuarday and 5 hours later, that's what we came up with.

What type of tubing? DOM? HREW? CREW? What diameter and thickness?
They look pretty good.

I am planning the same thing, i have been looking at avalanche and spidertrax to buy the tubing. I figured my design would cost me around $300 using heims and boulder bushings. Anybody Know of a place to get DOM and parts cheaper?

Luckily I got a hookup and get tubing and materials for cost. icon_smile_wink.gif

I don't think there is much here in pueblo. graemlins/icon_banghead.gif Those guys kinda are my local fab shops. I guess it won't hurt to call up some for the little machine shops in town and see if they have even heard of DOM tubing. icon_smile_big.gif
