I ordered some 15X10 and 4.50 backspacing rims for my TJ and the guy at the shop said they would be in by now. Of course today he calls back and says that he got them but they were 15X8s.He also said that you couldnt run a 15X10 rim on an 00 TJ.I have never heard that you couldnt run them.If you cant then why not? Also would 15X8 be alright for running 35X12.5X15 tires?Im getting so frustrated w/ him i am tempted to just get the 15X8s.Also have any of youu ordered soem 15X10 or 15X8 rockcrawler style(black) rims on line and where did you buy them from.I couldnt find any like i wanted so i had to settle for a little different style but if the 15X8s will work i might be able to find some online.

15X10 souldn't be a problem with your TJ. They are going to stress your front hub but will take a while to show any wear. I wanna say that the 35X12.5X15 that you want to run will be ok with the 15X8 but not reall shure might check with some of the other guys on that. If you order 15X10 then I would hold him to it or get your money back.
Hope this was helpful

I'd recommend the 15X8s over the 15X10s--- and since they have the 15X8s available-- I'd demand a discount and just go w/ the 15X8s.
I've seen 35X12.50s on 15X7s and they were kinda pinched--- I think they would be awesome on 15X8s.... less likely to de-bead also.
My buddy Ken (http://hometown.aol.com/sspeedrasr) has been running 295/50R15s on 15X7.5 rims on his Camaro--- no problems icon_smile_big.gif

go with the 15 x 8
i have a set of 15 x 8 with 35x12.5x15 on my CJ7 and i love them i have run them as low as 8 psi and had no problems
i have a mate that has the same tyres on a CJ6 with 15x10 and he has lost the tyre once and he was aired down to 10 psi graemlins/icon_beerchug.gif

Both our rigs are running 35x12.5's on 15x8's. I think the 8's work better for wheelin' rigs. 15x10's are for 13" or wider tires, or StreetJeeps. icon_smile_wink.gif
In response to your other question wrt black rock crawlers.....www.4wheelparts.com. I run them myself.

i run my 33X12.50's on 15X8s with 4" backspacing. I think 4.5" BS would be a little better, but i do like the stability of the extra inch of track width.

Funny I had the same problem with my 01 TJ and they also said it would become a problem. However, I was also not so sure about it so I had TRIPLE check it with other shops and most of them said the 10 would be ok but then I saw the difference when the tires were mounted on the rim and the Jeep. First off there really is NO difference. I did notice that the 8 does pull the center in so the tire looks more full along the side walls that way if you have the tires that have sidewall tread it is good. The 10 rim has been noted on rubbing the steering arms. In some cases not all (what I was told) it could break the arms on full turn and possible flex. Of course I am not expert but I opted for the 8s.

I had 15x10's on my xj, I hated them. I went to a 15x8 w/4.75 backspacing. I run a 33x12.5 tire and I love them now!
Got mine from 4wheel parts for $38 a piece, free shipping-had in 2 days!!
If I were you I would go to the shop and tell them you will SETTLE for his 15x8 if you get a discount. Worth a try! Good luck!
