ok, so i helped out changing a CV today. now comes the bad part, we got the new axel and were swapping it out. now here comes the strange part, the old one was for an abs system, the new one didn't say it was or was not for the abs system. the only difference we could find on it was a stamp mark in the axel itself. so here comes the question, are we screwed and need to swap out that SOB again with one that is specific for an abs or are we ok?

thanks

ya know i bet you are correct. I am going to have to look it up and see where it is reading off of. if it is, yup it'll be getting tore apart again.

thanks for the help

just thought of a hillbilly way to test this. let me know if trying this would be a very bad thing or if successful would be ok. find a dirt road or large gravel parking lot. go about 10 to 15 mph and slam on the brakes. if the new cv does not have the correct stuff inside of it, it should lock up. however if it does abs should work correctly. if it works correctly would it still be ok?
