I have a 2000 Ram with the 318, and I think it has a vaccum leak, but I can't find it. If I start it up and it is idling, I hear a hissing sound. If I barley touch the gas, the RPM's will shoot up to 2k and slowly return back to normal idle speed. If I didn't hear the banshee like hissing, I would think it was the IAC. I tried spraying brake parts cleaner around where the intake meets the heads to see if the leak would suck it in and stall them motor, but that didn't work. The vaccum lines seem to be fine. Is there any other good way to detect where the leak is coming from? Could it be anything else other the intake manifold or vaccum lines?
