FUBAR'd Wheel Studs: Subaru Outback

I helped a buddy put new rotors and pads on the back of his outback last night, and in the process of hammering the rotors off the car (they were rusted on) i hammered two of the wheel studs and messed up the threads. He tried to put the lugs back on and kind of messed up about 5-6 of the threads....is there any way to tap the threads, or should we start looking into replacing the studs?

your better off replacing the studs... i've had the same problem with my high school car and tryed taping the threads and i lost 3 lugs and to find out they seem to weakin the threads quite a bit...
