DieselKleen+CetaneBoost by PowerService. Put it in for the first time today. Runs about $6 for a 32-oz bottle at AutoZone. Should treat about 3 tankfuls at the amounts recommended on the bottle. (32oz treats 100gal and my tank is 34gal).

Only reason I went with PowerService is it was recommended by some of the guys on DTR and CumminsForum, and AutoZone carries it. There were some other products also recommended, but they were all mail order.

I use the FPPF Lubricity Plus Fuel Power. Alot of people seem to run their Total Power year round...even in warmer climates. Since these new lower sulpher fules have less lubricity, I want to add something. The lower lubricity is what wears our injectors, etc.

I don't remember how much it costs, but I think a bottle was something like $7 and it treats 250 gallons so it is does not cost much.

it really comes down to whether its cummins, powerstroke, duramax, or even caterpillar. The 7.3L powerstroke and naturally aspirated deisels run off of hydraulic injectors, so lubricity isn't as much of a concern as keeping your oil changed regularly and any off the shelf diesel fuel system cleaner as in deiselkleen with cetane (what i run), not sure about the 6.0L but really care since its a peice of sh*t. Running a cummins, i have heard good things about just running marvel mystery oil and dieselkleen with cetane booster. Duramax and caterpillar guys, sorry, don't know that much about your engines.

sorry. wow it's been awhile since i've had a moment of free time to check up on this thread. my new dd/tow rig is a 1995 chevy 2500 with the 6.5L turbo diesel.

ill have pics up later, i have had no free time.

guys, thanks for all of the info on the additives and stuff. i might just stick with the marvel mystery oil stuff, cuz i know that's good stuff.
