Both axles lock up when i plug the 7-pin into the truck(brake wise that is)...both axles have brakes..now can i assume that since i havnet hooked up the brake controller yet, the brakes are automatically getting 12v and locking up?

Alright today i hooked up the Prodigy Brake controller to my 04' via plug and play harness...two things i cannot get my side running lights on my trailer to work, the rear ones work though, along with brake and blinker, and the second awesome problem i have is that the prodigy wont confirm that the trailer is connected? anyone? bueller?

Step one would be to double check the factory wiring at the truck's receiver plug. There should be a diagram right on the flip cover to tell you which pin does what function... Grab a test light and a buddy to run the pedals/blinkers and get after it.
Step two would be to double check the trailer plug to make sure the appropriate pins mate up with the truck's receiver plug...
Also make sure the trailer wiring has a good ground to the trailer chassis; don't rely on the hitch ball.

Just trying to figure out why the prodigy wont connect
