Got a 95 Cherokee with a D30 now. What should I put up fornt and what type of veheciel should I pull one from? I know the D30 is weak. I want to go with ARB fornt and back some time in the Future. Also I have a 8.25 in the rear.

What size tires are you planning to run? A D30 is capable of handling up to 35's if properly setup, as is the 8.25". We've got D30's in the front of both our rigs with 35's and no troubles so far.

Looking to stay around 31" or 32" no higher that that. Use it for a Daily Driver also to and form Shreveport and Dallas. Running 3.07 now with 31" Gas milage sucks even with a 5 speed want to improve that also, so when I change or redoing the front I'm thinking about regearing to 4.10. Also stuck on a budget so things might haft to be done in phases. I have heard that installing warn hubs will help get rid of the front axel drag also.
are you going to do any off roading?
and even if you do you shouldn't have trouble with the D30 front end with 31s or 32s. Like Jason said already the D30 will hold tires up to 35s if set up properly.
ScottZJ is running 35s with his XJ with no problems from the axle.
And if you want to better your mileage go with the 4.10 gearing front and rear.

you should be fine with the dana 30 with 31's or 32's if you want better milage then just regear.

Keep the 30. Drop in 4:10's at the same time as the ARB (only have to set up gears once that way). If you really want to not need to worry about the 30, get alloy shafts and either CTM or OX u-joints. Getting 297 jointed shafts should be plenty though.

The D30 up front is a good axle, the D35 in the back is a piece of crap, thats what you wanna replace, but you have a 8.25 in back.
Stick with the D30, spend your money on gears and lockers!

Cool thank for the info. Gona go and track down some gears. Called around and found Install and purchase prices here in dallas around 2100.00 for the gears carrier and install. Found a place in shreveport, LA that will sell me the gears carrier and install for 1,300.00. Are these prices on par?

Since you mentioned that you want to get an ARB, do it all at once. Otherwise you're going to have to pay to have the gears setup twice.

You figure $500 for gears and install kits + $75 per axle for labor (that's what it would cost me at a local machine/race shop) + $200 for carriers (you can probably do better) for a grand total of around $800
For $2100.. that thing better have full case lockers front and rear.. seriously. $1300 is better, but still too freakin steep. I could do gears, carriers, setup and lockrights front and rear for that much.
y'all should seriously consider checking at machine shops and racing oriented shops. The 4x4 places just charge too damn much, and the race guys seem to do a better job at setup
