My brother in the AF has two cars, one here in MA and one in ND. He wants us to sell his altima for him, since he has a nicer one in ND and no need for it anymore. Only thing is, when you get above 60 mph you get serious vibrations...and I've traced it to the right side inner tie rod end being loose. I don't think that the vibrations will be a very good selling point!!
Now, I think that I have replaced an inner tie rod end on a rack and pinion system before, but that was a long time ago. I know that I can do it...but I'm not exactly sure how. The outer tie rod end is a typical tre, but the inner one I can't see, it's covered by a big boot. Should I just remove it and will it be self explanitory, or is there a trick to it?? Do I need a special tool to remove the inner TRE??? tia
