Has anyone tried using the FRAM SureDrain?

Looks like a good idea, but how is it in the "real world"?

Yeah, I have it. It's a really good idea, but they could def. improve on it some. I can honestly change my oil with it without spilling one drop on the drive or myself. Couple of things that annoy me are when you are twisting on the valve, the tube sometimes slips off. If you're careful and do it slow it's not that big of a deal. Speaking of slowness, be prepared to take about 2 or 3 times as long to change your oil cause that bad boy drains sloooooooooooooow. It takes over an hour to completly drain it with suredrain on. graemlins/crazy.gif

I've got it on my CJ....works ok but slow as mentioned but I always use the oil drain time to check all fluids, bulbs, and lube the chassis/driveline.....not a big deal unless you're pressed for time....

I actually like my Fujimoto oil drain valve on my XJ better I just had to supply the hose myself....but it's got a lever action-type valve that locks closed postively....no guessing if you have it screwed on tight like the FRAM....I bought the FRAM as an impulse purchase and thru two oil changes it's working ok....

Did you get the regular or N-Type Nipple with the fumotovalve?
