ok heres the deal, right now i am running a 3in Rough Country/combo lift :( it was a temporary lift since i got it real cheap. The rear add-a-leaf is still in place but i have 3in rustys front coils with RS5000 shocks, and Quicker discos. I want to go bigger to run 32s (4.5-5in range) Should i redo the lift or add a budget boost to it? I know i need a adj trac bar, lca's, longer brake lines, and either a tcase drop or sye. I do quite a bit of wheeling so what would me more advisible a new lift or adding to this lift? Thanks
Jeff

JeffI'd recommend buying a complete 4.5" lift kit, it'd probably be cheaper, and you can sell the old stuff.

How's the aal holding up though? If everything's in good shape, you could probably just get some spacers for the front and some 1.5" shackles for the rear. Relocate the front brakelines and either get a new rear line or a relocation bracket.

You'll probably need new shocks as well.

For $220 you can get Rusty's BB w/shackle and a new set of shocks. Toss in a brakeline relocation kit for $10, some adjustable LCA's for $170'ish, and his adj. trackbar for $130. That makes about $530 plus shipping... and you're reusing all your old parts... For $570 you can get his complete 4.5" kit w/aal, and for another $100 you can upgrade to his 4.5" w/leafs. Now you'd have all new parts and you could sell your old stuff to recoup some costs.

If you're interested in RE's 4.5" kits, they come with RE's SuperFlex LCA's, new brakelines front/rear along with upper control arms and 2" bumpstop pucks for the front axle. As a result, they're going to be more expensive that Rusty's kits. Email or PM for prices on the RE kits if you want.

JeffHere's what I would do. Well, this is waht I'm planning on doing since my existing 3" Rusty's AAL is only temporary. I've got a bunch of things to do before I go taller, but I'm not going to do it all (the lift) in one fowl swoop. First I'm going to get adjustable control arms (like RE's), then an adj. tracbar (not sure whose). Then I'll get new rear leaf packs (leaning towards BOR) and a spacer to level out the front. Then I'll get a now set of coils (not sure whose) that will give me the lift I need to match the rear even if I have a winch and bumper up front. I'll get shocks a I need longer ones. For the rear brake hoses I'd get a YJ hose, and proabably get YJ e-brake cables just in case. I should be able to relocate the front brakelines mount points on the frame to get enough length out of them.

Thanks Jason and Static for the reply. I think i might do a whole new lift since i would rather have rear spring packs. This won't happen until june though but i am going to start buying the parts in stages as Static said. When the time comes though i'll talk to jason about RE prices for the 4.5.
Thanks
