anyone running 35 12.5's on 8's
I have 33 12.5 on 8's now, saw a nice trick out yj with 35 12.50 on 8's. Thinking of doing the same and save some cash to afford the gearing.
good or Bad?

We're running 35x12.5" MTR's on 15x8's on our TJ, and as soon as I can get the new lift, we'll have the same setup on the XJ as well. Works great.
I wouldn't run 10" rims unless it was a street truck or the tires were wider than 12.5", like some 35x14's or something.

Jason, I have a 02' TJ and am going through the same dilema of getting 15x8's or 10's. My rig is a daily road warrior for the time being until I start working locally, but I will have 35x12.5x15 on eventually. I always see if you have a street rig, use 10's, why not the 8's? graemlins/icon_help.gif graemlins/iono.gif

Almost every jeep that has 35x12.50's runs them on 8's. The others need to. icon_smile_big.gif icon_smile_wink.gif

10's will give a slightly better contact patch and higher contact pressue (can run higher tire PSI and still have the same contact patch), however 10's generally don't hold a bead as well offroad when you air down. For strictly street and show, I'd go with 10's for looks (wider). For a rid that's going to see any kind of trail time, I'd go with 8's without question.
