AIR system.

Ok so slowly, but surely i'm getting the ram done.

Currently working on the exhaust, has headers dual exhaust arrived, dual welded mufflers. Now i'm trying to figure out what cat i want to use. Its come down to the AIR system (smog pump)


There are 2 options so i can make that work.

Option 1: Weld a bung to one primary on each header, simple done, Just gotta pull the headers. And also what would i use for the bung?

Option 2: Use 2 cats with air tubes on them, than just run a hose from the pump back to the xmember and put a t-fitting on to split it. Really simple. BUt would it be legal?

Depends....my guess is that it would pass a sniffer test, but it might fail the visual inspection (if PA has one).

Whatever you do, make sure you have the check valves installed.

Yup was gonna put the check vavles in either way. And we have visual and no sniffer. And infact the visual is just that the components are there, not that they actually work :screwy:

So i figured putting them to the air tubes on the cats would still be visible, its pepboys, i've passed with blatently leaking exhaust already. So I think i am gonna do the cats for now, its 14 bux more if they give me any grief bout it i'll throw em in the headers.
