my own pic as an avatar

how can i get a pic i have of my rig on my digital camera put on as my avatar????

if you have the software to transfer your pic from the camera to your pc, you can then resize or crop the pic to 75x75 pixels and then upload it to a website to pull from. don't use the free website providers like 20m or geocities, they don't allow remote hosting.

i can get it to my pc, but i am totally illiterate from there. can anyone help me?????

what type of photo editer are you using? example: photoshop, photoimpact, anthing starting with photo. go into help and look up resize or crop. after you're done, either buy some web space or ask someone who has a website to host your av. they should be able to tell you what to do then.
