This actually happened a few weeks ago but I thought you guys would find it kinda amusing. I've been wanting to take the Jeep out off road forever but I wasn't going to do it without a) a guy to go with me or b) one that didn't have offraoding experience. So my old college buddy came up to visit and we took her out. Got on some skidoo trails and then broke off into some logging for a bit. (This is in the middle of the night) Did some donuts in a feild of snow all good. Then we were on our way bac to civilization following one of the snow mobile trails again when all of the sudden the path broke into a Y. It was the start of a railroad track and snomobiles and 4wheelers were going up either side of the tracks. Swamp on either side of us and no where to turn around I went for it. All was good until path got a little too skinny for the YJ and it started to slip down the embankment into the swamp. Managed to get passenger tires up onto the railroad ties but it wasn't helping much. Put into 4 wheel little better. But we decided to but the passenger side tires inbetween the metal tracks anyway. Because the front passenger tire wasn't wouching anything it was having a hard time pulling itself up over the track. Put it into 4 low and we were in business. Drove at least 5 km (2m) along hte tracks that way. The closer we got to town the more we realized that the tracks were in use though. I was ****tin myself thinking a train was going to come. No train ever did and we made it home with no further incident. Can't wait to go out and act in foolishness again.

Gotta love that YJ. I was out in the country visiting a friend last night and took an unfamiliar route and of course got a little sidetracked. I knew the general direction I wanted to go so followed the tractor trail which turned into an atv trail which turned into a snowmobile trail and then disappeared altogether only 25 meters from the road I was looking for. My buddy(a cop) was pretty nervous I could tell but I put her in low and powered through the ditch and onto the road. Needless to say a little fun was had and a new believer converted. Happy new year Neo, and depending what area you are from watch the 407. My buddy is with the OPP monitoring team and is quite the ticket nazi. graemlins/icon322.gif

Thats awesome. I stay the hell away from toll routes. And for the most part TO in general except for the past week that I have had the YJ in at Just Jeeps. I actually volunteer with the OPP so I have very littel fear of the police. besides.... can you actually do anything over 110 in a YJ???? no not really. tongue.gif
