What do you guys think about this stuff??
Any good brands???
I used some of it to fix a leaky radiator.....can you use multiple dosages of the stop leak, or will it start clogging/plugging other stuff??
It slowed/stopped the leak, but I think I lose a little if the temp is just right....

Well I would stay away form that stuff and spend the xtra money to get it done right. If not I have had it stop up heater cores and water ports. If you have the stock radiator in you might want to look at GDI for one. Thats my 2 cents. Good luck.

It WILL plug the heater core eventually????

I keep a little thing of "stop-leak" in my "on-board break down kit". It works great, but by no means should it be used a a permanent cure. If two applicantions don't do the trick, it is time to replace what ever is actually leaking. A regular bi-yearly flush should take care of any blockage/build-up that it might cause.

ABSOLUTELY NOT! If you need it in an emergency situation to get yourself home or to finish the trail then, yeah--- OK... but as a permanent fix in your driveway? NO! My radiator was leaking and I took it out, took it to the radiator shop and he soldered it for $10 (but I give him lots of work under the table--- your local shop's price may vary) and it's never leaked again.
I have an extra radiator-- 2-core for '88 XJ 4.0 Automatic.. I don't need it cuz I'm upgrading to GDI 3-Core for my Stroker project... if you're interested let me know. $20+ shipping. pics available upon request. (I don't know if it will work on a ZJ tho)

Ok.....
Well...its already been used.....will not use it again.....
At the time of the radiator purchase...I didn't want to contend with a potential fit problem with my kolak fan set-up...so I went with stock....if I had known then what I know now...
Good info guys, I will NOT run another batch through.....
I hope it holds up tho.

Ok you guys are going to get a kick out of this. My gf use to have a radiator leak in her old piece crown vic. We tried a bit of everything and the thing that worked the best was common house hold pepper. I would use pepper before anything else. It never clogged the system and we used a bunch of it.
On a side note, after she bought her self an '01 xj, the crown vic was just parked in front of the house. Well after about 2 months of just sitting there it caught fire. I was at work and she was at work so it wasn't us graemlins/grinyes.gif
Anyway, it is basically just a temporary fix while you save money for a new radiator.

One batch shouldn't hurt anything as long as you don't have any other gunk in there that has been slowly clogging already.
Unfortunatly,Stop-leak can't tell the difference between a hole in the radiator and a partially clogged heater core.
I've used it off and on for years and thus far have had no problems using it.
Good ole black pepper.Been there, done that too.carried a can in the tool box for years also.Good for a few uses away from home.Fix your radiator while your fryin up some squirrel on the trail.
