Intake Question!

this might sound dumb but, if i put a intake on the rig when i take it wheelin what happens if i get water or dirt in the intake, will it hurt the engine or what? sorry for the stupid question its been buggin me all day!

yeah your engine could suck that water in past the filter, thats not good. Mine has taken on water and sputtered, and alomst died, in the middle of a few mud holes. Its not all that bad though, i would rather have my filter cone instead of the stock box. If you do a lot of slammin into water/mud you should think about a snorkel instead.

water doesn't compress well. it'll bend/break piston rods and more... trust me... icon_smile_big.gif

Yeah, sucking water into your engine is expensive, I did it while towing a scout during a flood...threw a rod stright through the oil pan and onto the street.
