They call it a quick disconnect. You can get a new one if you'd like. It is a plastic POS and when they are new work well, but after time they don't. I'd recommend cutting off the metal end on the hose, getting a barb that fits in, I think it's 3/8 but don't quote me on that, and then on the other end of that get a compression fitting, which is 3/8 again, maybe?? thats how I have mine done up, cause the connections were so old it wasn't worth trying to make them work again.

Just to be sure, take a tiny clipping of the hose and bring that metal piece with you to the depot so you get the proper size. You will want to put a worm drive hoseclamp around the barb fitting going into the hose. Be creative, don't bother buying stupid factory plastic pieces that will not be reusable after a year of taking the elements.

Whats makes the CSF diff from the GDI, is it better ?

Are they both 3 row ?

Its interesting , the reason i ask is beacuse when i bought my GDI it seemed as if it was used ?

Just stick the transmision hose over the steel line and tighten it down with 2 hose clamps on each end. I plumbed my transmiison up to the AC cooler and ran my power steering into the aux trans cooler and abandoned the inner trans cooler in the radiator. and everything is hooked up this way.

your way will work, but for piece of mind I did mine the way I described. Yeah I could gone easier, but it wasn't hard, just sounds more complicated than it is. That way if something ever gives the hose a tug, it won't come off. Plus, I don't think the hose will fit over that line, but not positive. It is definitley more substantial to do it the way I described, solid connections. cost less than 5 bux. And I duno if there is enough hose left to make it all the way up onto that metal line, ya know.

there are many different ways to rig this stuff up

uhhh, rubber hose and hose clamp will do the trick.

you can never be too sure. it's all about overkill.
